An Ohio teacher convicted of having sex with her underage student has faced fresh humiliation as neighbors will receive postcards warning them to keep their children away from her house - even during trick-or-treating.

Emily Nutley, 43, who taught at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati before her she was fired, will be registered as a Tier III sex offender - the highest designation in Ohio's Sex Offender Registry.

The disgraced teacher was accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student and charged with two counts of sexual battery.

She will now face a lifetime of restrictions and public shame.

Authorities will mail notification postcards to every resident within 1,000 feet of Nutley's home, with details of her crimes and status as a sex offender, police told TMZ.

The postcards are meant to warn parents in her neighborhood who are advised to keep their children away from her residence, especially during Halloween when trick-or-treaters make their rounds.

Nutley must now also check in with authorities every 90 days for the rest of her life as part of her punishment.

The married Catholic school teacher recently made the outrageous claim that her husband's 'neglect' prompted her to have sex with a 17-year-old pupil.

Catholic school teacher's outrageous excuse for having sex with her student

The mother-of-three and former teacher at St Xavier High School in Cincinnati was indicted in October after the victim came forward about the abuse.

Nutley admitted to the crime in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on Monday in a plea bargain that had four other sexual battery counts dismissed.

She will be sentenced by Judge Jennifer Branch on June 10, and faces up to 10 years in prison and having to register as a sex offender for life.

A few weeks after the indictment, Nutley's husband Jonathan Nutley filed for divorce, prompting his wife to accuse him of 'gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty' in her legal response, TMZ reported.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers told the court last year that Nutley met the victim when he was sent to a program she ran for academically struggling pupils.

They began texting after school hours last autumn, and she sent him nude selfies and 'sexually explicit messages'.

Powers explained their relationship escalated to them having sex nhật bản several times in mid-November, at least once in her office at the all-boys school after hours.

Nutley kept texting the student after he tried to break off the illicit affair.

Nutley worked with young children at her previous school, but switched to teens at St Xavier

Nutley previously taught at Madeira Elementary School, also in Cincinnati, and posted photos of her work and students there on social media

Nutley has two daughters and a son, the eldest of whom is a junior at a different high school and only slightly younger than the victim

St Xavier charges $18,130 a year in tuition, plus $300 in administrative fees, though financial aid is available.

The school discovered the relationship and conducted an internal investigation, then notified Springfield Township police.

Nutley was fired as soon as the criminal investigation began, which led to her being indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury and arrested on October 28.
