How to Beat the Totem Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Moon

Totem Pokémon are powerful boss Pokémon that players encounter in various trials throughout the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. They are larger and stronger than regular Pokémon and are often accompanied by ally Pokémon that can make the battle even more challenging. Here are some tips for defeating Totem Pokémon:

1. Prepare your team: Before facing a Totem Pokémon, make sure your Pokémon are at a high enough level to handle the challenge. You should also consider their types and movesets to make sure you have a good variety of moves that can deal super-effective damage to the Totem Pokémon and its allies.

2. Bring support moves: Totem Pokémon are often accompanied by ally Pokémon that can heal or buff them. Bringing Pokémon with moves like Taunt, Roar, or Haze can prevent these ally Pokémon from interfering with the battle. You can also bring moves like Protect or Detect to stall for time and wait out the Totem Pokémon's buff turns.

3. Take advantage of Z-moves: In Pokémon Sun and Moon, you can use Z-moves once per battle. These moves are incredibly powerful and can deal massive damage to the Totem Pokémon or its allies. Make sure you have a Pokémon that can use a Z-move that is super-effective against the Totem Pokémon.

4. Focus on one Pokémon at a time: The Totem Pokémon's ally Pokémon can make the battle more difficult, so it's best to focus on one of them at a time. Once you defeat an ally Pokémon, the Totem Pokémon will summon another one, but this will waste its turn and give you an opportunity to attack it.

5. Use status conditions: Inflicting a status condition like paralysis, sleep, or confusion on the Totem Pokémon can greatly reduce its effectiveness in battle. Moves like Thunder Wave or Will-o-Wisp can inflict paralysis or burn, respectively.

6. Don't be afraid to switch Pokémon: If one of your Pokémon is weak to the Totem Pokémon's attacks, switch it out for one that can handle the battle better. This will also give you an opportunity to heal your Pokémon if necessary.

By following these tips, you should be able to defeat the Totem Pokémon and progress through the trials in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Good luck!
