You can add a gradient to a stroke in Photoshop by following these steps:

1. Open your image in Photoshop and create a new layer. 2. Select the "Type Tool" and create a text or shape layer with a stroke. 3. Click on the "Layer Style" button (fx) at the bottom of the Layers panel and select "Gradient Overlay." 4. In the Gradient Overlay dialog box, choose the gradient you want to use by clicking on the gradient preview box. 5. Adjust the settings of the gradient, such as the angle and scale, to your preference. 6. Click "OK" to apply the gradient overlay to your stroke.

If you want to apply the gradient to an existing stroke layer, you can do so by right-clicking on the layer and selecting "Blending Options." Then, follow the same steps as above to add the gradient overlay to the stroke.
