Baking cookies is a fun and delicious way to enjoy a sweet treat. Here are the steps to bake cookies: Ingredients: - 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature - 1 cup granulated sugar - 2 large eggs - 1 tsp pure vanilla extract - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 1 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp salt - 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined. 3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. 4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. 5. Stir in the chocolate chips. 6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie. 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden brown. 8. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the sheet. 9. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely. 10. Enjoy your freshly baked cookies! Note: Feel free to mix up the types of chocolate chips or add in other ingredients like nuts or dried fruit to create your own unique cookie recipe.
