How to Back up Live Messenger's Emoticons

From freem

Unfortunately, Live Messenger (also known as MSN Messenger) is no longer supported by Microsoft, and as of 2013, the service has been officially discontinued. This means that it is no longer possible to back up Live Messenger emoticons directly from the application.

However, if you have the emoticons saved on your computer or in a conversation history file, you can back them up by following these steps:

1. Locate the emoticon files on your computer. Live Messenger emoticons are typically saved as image files with a .gif or .png file extension. You may be able to find them in the "Emoticons" or "Custom Emoticons" folder in your Live Messenger program files.

2. Copy the emoticon files to a backup location, such as an external hard drive or cloud storage service. You may want to organize them into folders or rename them to make them easier to find later.

3. If you have conversation history files saved from Live Messenger, you may be able to extract emoticons from them using a chat history viewer or extractor tool. These tools can typically be found online and can convert the conversation history file into a readable format, allowing you to view and save any emoticons used in the conversation.

It's important to note that Live Messenger emoticons are copyrighted by Microsoft and should not be used without permission. If you plan to use them in a different messaging application or online forum, make sure you have the legal right to do so.
