How to Access Shared Libraries on iTunes

From freem

Accessing shared libraries on iTunes can be a great way to listen to music and watch videos from other devices on your network. Here are the steps to follow to access shared libraries on iTunes:

1. Make sure that all devices are on the same network: All the devices that you want to share your iTunes library with should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Enable Home Sharing: On the computer that hosts the iTunes library, go to "Preferences" in the iTunes menu, then select the "Sharing" tab. Check the "Share my library on my local network" box and enter your Apple ID and password to enable Home Sharing.

3. Connect to the shared library: On the device you want to use to access the shared library, open iTunes and go to the "Library" section. Under "Shared" in the left-hand menu, you should see the name of the computer that is hosting the shared library. Click on it to access the shared library.

4. Access content: Once you have connected to the shared library, you can browse and play the content just as you would with your own iTunes library. You can listen to music, watch videos, and even add content to your own library.

Note: You may need to adjust the settings on your computer's firewall to allow iTunes to share content over the network. Consult your computer's documentation or a qualified IT professional for assistance with this.
