How to Beat the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time
The Water Temple is known to be one of the more challenging dungeons in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. However, with a few tips and tricks, you can easily beat it. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate through the Water Temple:
1. Equip the Iron Boots: You'll need the Iron Boots to sink to the bottom of the water and access different parts of the dungeon. You can equip them by going to the equipment menu and selecting the Iron Boots.
2. Lower the Water Level: To access different parts of the Water Temple, you'll need to raise and lower the water level. To lower the water level, use the switch located in the central room of the temple.
3. Use the Map: The Water Temple can be a bit confusing, so make sure to use the map to help you navigate through the dungeon. You can access the map by pressing the start button.
4. Watch for Markings on the Walls: Look for markings on the walls that indicate where you can use your Hookshot or Longshot to reach new areas.
5. Defeat the Mini-Bosses: There are two mini-bosses in the Water Temple. The first is Dark Link, which you can defeat by using your sword and shield. The second is Morpha, which requires you to use your Longshot to attack its central nucleus.
6. Use the Small Keys Wisely: There are several locked doors in the Water Temple that require small keys to open. Be sure to use your small keys wisely and conserve them for doors that are necessary to progress through the dungeon.
7. Look for Hidden Rooms: There are several hidden rooms in the Water Temple that contain useful items and shortcuts. Keep an eye out for cracks in the walls that you can bomb or use your Megaton Hammer on.
8. Defeat the Boss: The final boss of the Water Temple is the Ancient Water Spirit, Bongo Bongo. To defeat him, use your arrows to shoot the hands that come out of the drum and then shoot the drum itself.
By following these tips and strategies, you should be able to beat the Water Temple and continue on your quest in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Good luck!
