How to Add Swatches in Photoshop

Adding swatches in Photoshop can be a great way to quickly access colors you use frequently, or to create a palette of colors that work well together for a specific project. Here's how to add swatches in Photoshop:

1. Open the Swatches panel: Go to Window > Swatches.

2. Create a new swatch: Click on the flyout menu in the Swatches panel (the icon with three horizontal lines in the top-right corner), and choose "New Swatch". Alternatively, you can click on the "New Swatch" button at the bottom of the Swatches panel.

3. Choose a color: In the "New Swatch" dialog box, you can either choose a color from the color picker, or enter the color values (RGB, CMYK, or hexadecimal).

4. Name your swatch: Give your new swatch a descriptive name that will make it easy to remember what it's for.

5. Save your swatch: Click "OK" to save your new swatch to the Swatches panel.

6. Organize your swatches: You can organize your swatches by creating new swatch groups, or by dragging and dropping swatches into different groups. To create a new swatch group, click on the flyout menu in the Swatches panel and choose "New Swatch Group".

7. Load swatches: If you have saved swatch libraries in the past, you can load them into Photoshop by going to the flyout menu in the Swatches panel and choosing "Load Swatches". You can also choose to replace or append your current swatches with the loaded swatches.
