How to Appear Offline to Some People on Facebook

If you want to appear offline to certain people on Facebook while still being online for others, you can do so by using Facebook's "Active Status" feature. Here's how:

1. Open Facebook and log in to your account. 2. Click on the gear icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen to open the Settings menu. 3. From the Settings menu, select "Settings & Privacy" and then click "Settings." 4. Scroll down until you see the "Active Status" option and click on it. 5. Toggle the switch next to "Show when you're active" to the off position. 6. From here, you can choose to turn off your active status for all contacts, or you can select "Turn off active status for only some contacts" and choose which contacts you want to appear offline to.

Keep in mind that if you turn off your active status for some contacts, you won't be able to see their active status either. Additionally, if you send a message to someone while your active status is turned off, they will still receive the message and may assume that you are online.
