How to Add a Marker in Pro Tools
Adding a marker in Pro Tools is a simple process. Markers are useful for identifying important sections of a session, such as the beginning of a verse or chorus, or for noting points where edits or changes need to be made. Here are the steps to add a marker in Pro Tools:
1. Locate the point in the session where you want to add a marker. 2. Click on the "Marker" button in the Edit window toolbar, or use the shortcut "Option+Enter" on a Mac or "Alt+Enter" on a PC. 3. A new marker will appear at the current playback location in the session, labeled "Marker 1." You can double-click on the marker to rename it to something more descriptive. 4. To move the marker to a different location, simply drag it to the desired position.
You can add as many markers as you need throughout the session. To delete a marker, simply right-click on it and select "Delete Marker." Markers can also be moved in the Marker List, which can be accessed by clicking on the "Marker List" button in the Edit window toolbar. From the Marker List, you can easily navigate to different markers in the session and make edits to their names or locations.
