How to Age Paper in Photoshop

Aging paper in Photoshop is a great way to create a vintage or antique look for your digital designs. Here's how to do it:

1. Open your paper image in Photoshop.

2. Create a new layer above the paper layer by clicking on the "New Layer" icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

3. Fill the new layer with a light brown color by selecting the "Paint Bucket" tool from the toolbar, choosing the color you want, and clicking on the new layer.

4. Change the blending mode of the new layer to "Overlay" by selecting "Overlay" from the dropdown menu in the Layers panel.

5. Adjust the opacity of the new layer to your liking by dragging the opacity slider in the Layers panel.

6. Create a new layer above the previous layer and fill it with a darker brown color.

7. Change the blending mode of this layer to "Multiply" by selecting "Multiply" from the dropdown menu in the Layers panel.

8. Adjust the opacity of this layer to your liking.

9. Create another new layer above the previous layer and fill it with a yellow color.

10. Change the blending mode of this layer to "Soft Light" by selecting "Soft Light" from the dropdown menu in the Layers panel.

11. Adjust the opacity of this layer to your liking.

12. Lastly, add some texture to your paper by using a texture image. Open the texture image in Photoshop and copy it by selecting the entire image (Ctrl+A) and then copying it (Ctrl+C).

13. Paste the texture image onto your paper image by selecting your paper image and then pasting the texture (Ctrl+V).

14. Change the blending mode of the texture layer to "Overlay" by selecting "Overlay" from the dropdown menu in the Layers panel.

15. Adjust the opacity of the texture layer to your liking.

That's it! Your paper should now have a nice aged look. You can experiment with different colors, blending modes, and opacity settings to achieve the desired effect.
