Acclimating your fish to a new aquarium is an important step to ensure their health and well-being. Sudden changes in water parameters or temperature can shock and stress your fish, leading to illness or even death. To acclimate your fish to a new aquarium, follow these steps:

1. Float the Bag: Float the bag containing your fish in the new aquarium for 10-15 minutes. This allows the temperature of the water in the bag to gradually adjust to that of the aquarium.

2. Test the Water: Test the water in the bag and the new aquarium for pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels. Ensure that the water in the new aquarium is suitable for your fish species.

3. Add Small Amounts of Aquarium Water to the Bag: After floating the bag for 10-15 minutes, add a small amount of water from the new aquarium to the bag every 10-15 minutes. Repeat this process until the water volume in the bag doubles.

4. Release the Fish: Using a net, gently transfer your fish from the bag to the new aquarium. Do not pour the water from the bag into the aquarium as this may introduce harmful pathogens.

5. Observe the Fish: Once the fish are in the new aquarium, observe them closely for the next few hours to ensure that they are adapting well. If your fish appear stressed, keep the aquarium lights dim and reduce feeding until they have acclimated to their new environment.

By acclimating your fish to a new aquarium, you can help ensure that they have a healthy and happy life in their new home.
