Here’s how to get your Facebook monetization payment out of PayPal, including what your options are in Nigeria since PayPal doesn’t support direct local bank withdrawals there:

#### 1) Confirm How Facebook Paid You[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=4 "Edit section: 1) Confirm How Facebook Paid You") | [edit source](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&action=edit&section=4 "Edit section's source code: 1) Confirm How Facebook Paid You")]

If Facebook sent your monetization earnings to your PayPal account, the money should show up in your PayPal balance once the payout processes (typically monthly, if you’ve met the threshold and provided payout info). Facebook[[2]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-2)

#### 2) Withdraw from PayPal (General Process)[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=5 "Edit section: 2) Withdraw from PayPal (General Process)") | [edit source](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&action=edit&section=5 "Edit section's source code: 2) Withdraw from PayPal (General Process)")]

Once the money is in your PayPal balance, withdrawing it normally involves one of these:

a. Withdraw to a linked bank account (in countries where available) You can transfer funds from PayPal to a bank account if PayPal supports that in your country. After linking your bank, the steps are:

1. Log into PayPal
2. Go to Wallet
3. Select Transfer Funds → Transfer to your bank
4. Enter the amount and confirm

💡 Many countries (e.g., U.S., UK, EU) allow direct withdrawal. But Nigeria is a special case. Swift Pesa[[3]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-3)

b. Withdraw to a linked card (where bank linking isn’t supported) Some countries only allow withdrawing to a debit card instead of a bank transfer.

#### 3) If You’re in Nigeria (Common Situation)[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=6 "Edit section: 3) If You’re in Nigeria (Common Situation)") | [edit source](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&action=edit&section=6 "Edit section's source code: 3) If You’re in Nigeria (Common Situation)")]

PayPal does not currently allow direct withdrawals to Nigerian bank accounts — meaning you cannot simply move money from PayPal to your Nigerian bank account through PayPal itself. Swift Pesa[[4]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-4)

Here’s what creators usually do instead:

##### A. Link a Virtual/Foreign Bank Account[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=7 "Edit section: A. Link a Virtual/Foreign Bank Account")]

Use a service that gives you U.S. or foreign bank account details you can link to PayPal (accepted as a “bank” on PayPal):

* Grey (formerly Aboki Africa) – virtual USD account you can link and withdraw to, then send to your Nigerian bank. Grey[[5]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-5)
* Payoneer – offers Global Payment Service (U.S. bank details you can link). Edusiastic[[6]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-6)
* Wise (where supported) – may provide local USD or international routing details (check if linkable). After linking and verifying, you can transfer your PayPal balance to that account, and then withdraw to your Nigerian bank. ##### B. Use a PayPal-linked Dollar Card[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=8 "Edit section: B. Use a PayPal-linked Dollar Card")]

Some banks (e.g., UBA AfriCard) provide a USD prepaid Visa/Mastercard you can link to PayPal. After transferring your PayPal balance to that card:

* You can withdraw from an ATM or use a trusted exchanger to convert to Naira. Grey[[8]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-8)

##### C. Sell Your PayPal Balance through Trusted Exchange Services[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=9 "Edit section: C. Sell Your PayPal Balance through Trusted Exchange Services")]

Certain reputable exchangers buy your PayPal USD balance and pay you in Naira into your local bank account. Examples (verify reputability; watch for scams):

* fnfSwap, Zutaa, Afrilatest (and others) — they quote an exchange rate and pay you Naira after you send them PayPal funds. Grey[[9]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-9)

⚠️ Avoid random social media groups or unverified individuals selling PayPal funds — scams are common. Afrokonnect[[10]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-10)

#### 4) Tips When Withdrawing[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=10 "Edit section: 4) Tips When Withdrawing") | [edit source](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&action=edit&section=10 "Edit section's source code: 4) Tips When Withdrawing")]

✅ Match account names: The name on your PayPal account should match the name on your foreign bank/virtual account for successful linking. Grey[[11]](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?oldid=594721&title=Openai%2F694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490#cite_note-11) ✅ Verify accounts: Always do the small deposit verification required by PayPal when linking accounts. ✅ Check fees and rates: Exchangers and card providers often charge fees and have varying exchange rates.

#### Summary[[edit](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&veaction=edit&section=11 "Edit section: Summary") | [edit source](https://freemwiki.com/index.php?title=Openai/694651eb-71cc-8006-90e8-5d077024f490&action=edit&section=11 "Edit section's source code: Summary")]

| Step | What You Do | | ---- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | 1 | Confirm Facebook sent earnings to your PayPal account. | | 2 | Try linking a foreign bank/virtual USD account or card in PayPal. | | 3 | Transfer funds from PayPal to that account/card. | | 4 | Withdraw from there to your Nigerian bank OR sell the balance via a reputable exchanger. |

If you want, I can walk you through linking a specific virtual bank (like Grey or Payoneer) to PayPal step-by-step or help you find reputable exchangers that operate in Nigeria. Just let me know!
