How to Access Command Prompt and Run in Windows

Command Prompt is a command-line interface program in Windows that allows users to execute various commands and perform tasks on their computer without using the graphical user interface. Here are the steps to access Command Prompt and run it in Windows:

1. Press the "Windows" key + "R" to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type "cmd" or "cmd.exe" in the Run box and press Enter. This will open the Command Prompt window.

3. Alternatively, you can also open Command Prompt by searching for it in the Windows search box or by right-clicking the Windows Start button and selecting "Command Prompt" from the menu that appears.

4. Once the Command Prompt window is open, you can enter commands by typing them in and pressing Enter. For example, you can type "dir" to view a list of files in the current directory, or "ipconfig" to display information about your network configuration.

5. To close the Command Prompt window, type "exit" and press Enter, or click the "X" button in the upper-right corner of the window.
