How to Bake a Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients: - 1 ½ cups mashed sweet potatoes - 1 cup white sugar - ½ cup butter, softened - 2 eggs, beaten - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - ½ cup evaporated milk - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon salt - 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Pierce your sweet potatoes several times with a fork and place them on a baking sheet. Bake the sweet potatoes in the oven until they are soft, which should take around 1 hour. Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool.
3. Once the sweet potatoes are cool, peel off the skin and mash them in a bowl. You should have around 1 1/2 cups of mashed sweet potatoes.
4. In a separate bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until they are smooth.
5. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, evaporated milk, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt to the sugar and butter mixture. Mix everything together until it is smooth.
