How to Align in InDesign

Aligning objects in Adobe InDesign can help to make your designs look more professional and organized. Here are the steps to align objects in InDesign:

1. Select the objects you want to align: Click and drag your mouse over the objects or hold down the shift key while clicking on each object.

2. Open the Align panel: Go to Window > Object & Layout > Align to open the Align panel.

3. Choose your alignment options: In the Align panel, you can choose to align your objects horizontally or vertically. You can align to the left, center, or right for horizontal alignment, and align to the top, center, or bottom for vertical alignment.

4. Click the desired alignment buttons: Click the buttons that correspond to the alignment you want to apply. The objects will be aligned based on the selected options.

5. Use distribute options: If you want to distribute the selected objects evenly, use the distribute options at the bottom of the Align panel.

Alternatively, you can also use the Align tools on the toolbar to quickly align your objects. Simply select the objects and then click the desired alignment button on the toolbar.
