How to Apply Frontline

From freem

Frontline is a popular brand of topical flea and tick medication for dogs and cats. Applying Frontline correctly is important to ensure the medication is effective and safe for your pet. Here's how to apply Frontline:

1. Choose the appropriate dosage: Frontline comes in different doses depending on your pet's weight. Make sure you purchase the correct dosage for your pet.

2. Prepare the medication: Frontline comes in a small vial. Open the vial by holding it upright and snapping off the tip. Be careful not to squeeze the medication out of the vial.

3. Part your pet's fur: Part the fur at the base of your pet's skull or between their shoulder blades. This is where you will apply the medication.

4. Apply the medication: Place the tip of the vial directly on your pet's skin and squeeze the contents of the vial onto the skin. Be sure to apply the medication in a straight line to avoid the medication from being applied too thickly in one spot. Avoid getting the medication in your pet's eyes or mouth.

5. Keep your pet dry: Allow the medication to dry completely before allowing your pet to get wet. Avoid bathing your pet or allowing them to swim for at least 24 hours after applying Frontline.

6. Monitor your pet: Watch your pet for any signs of an adverse reaction to the medication, such as vomiting or diarrhea. Contact your veterinarian if you notice any unusual symptoms.

7. Repeat application: Frontline should be applied every 30 days to be effective. Set a reminder to ensure you apply it on time.

Remember to always follow the instructions on the Frontline packaging carefully and consult your veterinarian if you have any questions or concerns.
