How to Add Restrictions to an iPhone

From freem

Adding restrictions to an iPhone can be useful for parents who want to limit their child's access to certain apps or features, or for individuals who want to restrict their own use of certain apps or content. Here are the steps to add restrictions to an iPhone:

1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone. 2. Tap on "Screen Time" and then "Content & Privacy Restrictions". 3. Tap on "Content & Privacy Restrictions" again to turn on this feature. 4. You will be prompted to create a passcode for the restrictions. Choose a passcode that is different from your iPhone's passcode, and make sure it's something that you can remember. 5. Once you have set up the passcode, you can start to customize the restrictions to your liking. You can choose to restrict certain apps, such as social media or games, and set time limits for their use. You can also restrict access to certain types of content, such as explicit content or web content. You can also restrict certain features, such as Siri, FaceTime, or AirDrop. 6. When you have finished setting up the restrictions, tap on "Back" and then "Screen Time" to return to the main Screen Time screen. 7. You can now view a summary of your Screen Time usage and set additional limits, such as Downtime (when only certain apps are allowed to be used), App Limits (time limits for specific apps), or Always Allowed (apps that can be used at any time, even during Downtime).

That's it! With these restrictions in place, you can help yourself or your child to better manage their time and focus on the things that matter most.
