How to 180 on a Skateboard

From freem

The 180 is a fundamental skateboard trick that involves spinning your board 180 degrees while in the air or rolling. Here's how to do a 180 on a skateboard:

1. Get comfortable riding your skateboard: Before attempting the 180, make sure you're comfortable riding your skateboard and have good balance.

2. Find a good spot: Choose a flat and smooth surface that will allow you to gain some speed.

3. Start riding: Ride towards the spot where you plan to do the 180.

4. Start turning: As you approach the spot, turn your shoulders in the direction you want to spin your board. Your back foot should be positioned on the tail of your skateboard, and your front foot should be in the middle of the board.

5. Pop the board: With your back foot, pop the tail of your skateboard down hard against the ground. This will make the board pop up into the air.

6. Jump and spin: As the board pops up, jump into the air and spin your body and board 180 degrees in the direction you want to go. Use your arms to help you spin and stay balanced.

7. Land: As you spin, keep your eyes on the board and aim to land with both feet over the bolts. Bend your knees as you land to absorb the impact.

8. Ride away: After you land, continue rolling and ride away from the 180.

With practice, you'll be able to 180 on your skateboard smoothly and confidently. Remember to stay relaxed, keep your weight centered over the board, and keep practicing until you get it right!
