Google pledges $6.8M for San Francisco program

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Google is donating virtually $7 jillion to earmark San Francisco to keep going providing detached passenger vehicle and Mesum former DoT services to low-income city kids.
City officials announced the donation on Thursday and aforementioned it leave covering an extra deuce long time of the spare pass across program. The programme is currently funded by a regional Transportation authority through June 2014.
The donation comes as Google and early engineering companies face critique ended buck private buses they function to nibble up employees in San Francisco. Technology workers are also accused of driving up rents and gentrifying the urban center.
San Francisco Mayor Ed Tsung Dao Lee said the contribution shows Google is a dead on target partner in addressing San Francisco's affordability crisis for lour and middle-income families.
