The backside 360 is an advanced snowboarding trick that involves rotating 360 degrees while riding in a backside direction. Here's how you can do it: 1. Find a suitable spot: Look for a slope with a flat area at the top, so you have enough space to gain speed and perform the trick. Make sure the slope is not too steep, and there are no obstacles in your way. 2. Approach the jump: Ride towards the jump at a comfortable speed and with your knees bent. Approach the jump with a slight angle towards your backside, so you can initiate the spin. 3. Pop off the jump: As you reach the top of the jump, crouch down and spring up into the air using your legs. This will give you the airtime you need to perform the trick. 4. Wind up: As you leave the jump, start to wind up your shoulders and hips in the opposite direction to the spin you want to perform. For a backside 360, this means winding up in a frontside direction. 5. Start the rotation: Once you're in the air, start rotating your body, leading with your head and shoulders. Keep your eyes focused on where you want to land. 6. Spot the landing: As you complete the rotation, spot the landing and prepare to absorb the impact by bending your knees. 7. Stomp the landing: As you touch down, bend your knees and absorb the impact. Keep your weight centered over your board and ride away smoothly. Remember, practice makes perfect, and it may take several attempts to get the backside 360 right. Start with small jumps and work your way up to bigger ones as you gain confidence and skill. It's also important to wear proper snowboarding gear, including a helmet, and to always follow safe snowboarding practices.
