Backing up your Skype contacts is important to ensure that you don't lose them in case of a device failure or when you switch to a new device. Here are the steps to back up your Skype contacts: 1. Open Skype on your computer or mobile device and sign in with your account credentials. 2. On the Skype home screen, click on the three dots in the top left corner of the screen or swipe left from the left edge of the screen on a mobile device. 3. From the menu, select "Contacts." 4. On the Contacts screen, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the screen or swipe right from the right edge of the screen on a mobile device. 5. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. 6. On the Settings screen, scroll down to the bottom and select "Export Contacts" or "Export Chat History" depending on your preference. 7. Choose the location on your computer or mobile device where you want to save the file, and click on "Save" or "Export." Your Skype contacts will now be saved to the chosen location on your device as a .csv file, which can be opened with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
