Step 1: Apply grip tape to the skateboard deck
Grip tape provides traction for your feet, so it's important to apply it correctly. Remove the backing from the grip tape and place it over the top of the skateboard deck. Press down firmly on the grip tape to make sure it adheres to the deck. Then, use a razor blade to trim off any excess grip tape around the edges of the deck.

Step 2: Install the skateboard trucks
The skateboard trucks attach the wheels to the deck. Each truck has two holes that line up with two holes on the deck. Place one truck on top of the deck, with the holes aligned, and insert the bolts through the deck and into the truck. Repeat this process with the other truck on the other end of the deck.

Step 3: Attach the skateboard wheels
Each skateboard wheel has two bearings that need to be inserted into them. Insert one bearing into the wheel, then place the wheel onto the truck axle. Insert the other bearing into the other side of the wheel. Repeat this process with the other three wheels.

Step 4: Tighten the skateboard hardware
The skateboard hardware consists of eight bolts and eight nuts. Insert one bolt through each hole in the skateboard deck and truck, then attach a nut to the end of each bolt. Use a skate tool or wrench to tighten the nuts until they are snug but not too tight.

Step 5: Test the skateboard
Once the hardware is tightened, it's time to test the skateboard. Stand on the deck and make sure it feels stable. Push off with one foot and make sure the wheels roll smoothly. If everything feels good, you're ready to go skateboarding!
