Aadhaar is a unique 12-digit identification number issued by the Indian government to every citizen of India. It serves as proof of identity and address for various purposes. If you want to apply for an Aadhaar card online, you can follow these steps: 1. Visit the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in/. 2. Click on the "Aadhaar Online Services" tab and select "Enrolment/Download e-Aadhaar/Update". 3. Under the "Enrolment" section, click on "Apply Online". 4. Read the instructions carefully and click on the "Proceed to Enrolment" button. 5. Fill in the required details such as your name, address, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. 6. Verify your mobile number by entering the OTP received on your mobile. 7. Select the nearest enrolment center from the drop-down list and book an appointment. 8. On the day of your appointment, visit the enrolment center with your original documents for identity and address proof. 9. The operator at the enrolment center will take your biometric details such as fingerprint, iris scan, and photograph. 10. After the enrolment process is complete, you will be given an acknowledgement slip with an enrolment ID. 11. You can use this enrolment ID to check the status of your Aadhaar card on the UIDAI website. Note: If you have already enrolled for Aadhaar and want to download your e-Aadhaar card online, you can do so by entering your enrolment ID, Aadhaar number, or mobile number on the UIDAI website.
