Command Strips are a popular type of adhesive tape that can be used to hang pictures, frames, and other decorations without the need for nails or screws. Here's how to apply them: 1. Clean the surface: Before applying Command Strips, clean the surface where you plan to stick them with rubbing alcohol. This will remove any dirt, dust, or oil that may prevent the strips from sticking properly. 2. Choose the right size: Command Strips come in various sizes and weight capacities, so choose the appropriate size and strength for the item you want to hang. You can find this information on the packaging or on the Command website. 3. Peel off the backing: Remove the blue liner from one side of the Command Strip and apply it to the back of your picture frame or other item. Make sure to press it firmly for at least 30 seconds. 4. Attach to the wall: Remove the remaining blue liner from the Command Strip and press the item against the wall where you want it to hang. Make sure to hold it in place for at least 30 seconds and press firmly along the entire strip to ensure a secure bond. 5. Wait before hanging: Wait at least one hour before hanging the item on the Command Strip to allow the adhesive to fully bond to the wall. 6. Remove carefully: When you're ready to remove the Command Strip, simply grasp the bottom of the strip and pull it straight down and towards you, keeping your hand as close to the wall as possible. Do not pull the strip towards you or peel it off at an angle, as this can damage the wall surface. 7. Stretch and remove: To remove the remaining adhesive, hold the bottom of the strip and stretch it straight down along the wall. This will stretch the adhesive and make it easier to remove without leaving any residue. Remember to always follow the instructions on the packaging for best results, and never exceed the weight limit of the Command Strip.
