Boxing wraps are an essential piece of equipment for any boxer or martial artist. They protect your hands, wrists, and knuckles by providing support and padding, and help to prevent injuries. Here's how to apply boxing wraps: 1. Choose the right length: Boxing wraps come in different lengths, typically 120 inches, 180 inches, or 200 inches. The length you choose will depend on the size of your hands and how much padding and support you want. Generally, longer wraps provide more support and padding. 2. Start at the thumb: Begin by placing the loop of the wrap around your thumb, with the label facing down. Make sure the wrap is snug but not too tight. 3. Wrap around your wrist: Wrap the wrap around your wrist twice, making sure it's snug and secure. 4. Wrap around your knuckles: Start at the back of your hand and wrap the wrap around your knuckles. Make sure to wrap the wrap around each finger individually and leave your thumb free. 5. Wrap around your wrist again: After wrapping around your knuckles, wrap the wrap around your wrist again, making sure it's snug and secure. 6. Secure the wrap: Once you've wrapped the wrap around your wrist a second time, use the Velcro on the end of the wrap to secure it in place. 7. Repeat: Repeat the process with the other hand, making sure the wraps are the same length and tension. Remember, it's important to make sure your wraps are tight enough to provide support and padding, but not so tight that they cut off your circulation or restrict your movement. With a bit of practice, you'll be able to apply your boxing wraps quickly and easily before every training session or fight.
