===== In the NR, especially in works like The Great Gospel of John, Secrets of Life, and The Household of God, we are shown that: ===== * The soul’s deformation results from willful self-love and the rejection of divine order. Narcissism—manifested in excessive self-focus and a lack of genuine empathy—arises when the soul progressively aligns itself with the love of self and the world, rather than with the love of God and others. This is closely related to pride, which the Lord frequently identifies as the root of spiritual downfall. * Psychopathy, or the inability to feel guilt or love, is often the result of a long history of rebellion against divine order—either inherited across generations or cultivated through the soul’s choices. In Secrets of Life, it is mentioned that certain brain or soul structures may become hardened or deformed due to continual misuse of free will, thus inhibiting conscience and empathy. * The soul-brain interface: These conditions may also be linked to disturbances in the “etheric brain” or spiritual mind. The soul’s ability to properly influence the physical brain may be limited when the inner moral compass has been damaged by sin, trauma, or unspiritual living.
