In matters of the New Revelation, Leopold Engel has contributed only to the finalising of The Great Gospel of JOhn (last volume), as Lorber died before finishing it (and I have thought that maybe the good Father wanted to spare him from experiencing the living story of the persecution, torture and death of the Lord). Yes, also because we have spoken about the importance for the Christians to understand the Bible, from the perspective of the spiritual language of the correspondences, I think that both these books, bring a lot of spiritual substance to the parables, images, acts and lessons from the New Testament (and also Old Testament, through extension). I also think that while in The Great Gospel of John and the other books given to Lorber, except The Explanation of the Scriptures, we have mostly the Lord speaking as a narrator, historian, scientist and spiritual guide (more from the perspective of Divine Wisdom, of the Son of God), what we have in The Explanation of Scriptures and in the three books given to Mayerhofer (The Sermons of the Lord, Secrets of Life and Secrets of Creation) is the Lord speaking directly to us, to His children, as a Father (more from the perspective of Divine Love and compassion). Maybe this could be also the meaning of what you wanted to suggest by the idea that Gottfried, like Elisha, received 'a portion double of the spirit' (which Spirit, we know, is Divine Love). But anyway, that is of course, for now, just my perception. There is also another very important thing that is apparent in both books, referring to the absolute necessity of living the faith and spiritual knowledge, through works of active love for fellowman, without which the talent entrusted by God looses any true spiritual significance for the soul, thus not contributing to the spiritual rebirth and to the general salvation of humanity. I think that's what I think could be added to a presentation of these two books (eventually also associated with The Spiritual Sun), so to awaken the interest of seekers of truth and love, particularly among Christians... So what do you think about these ideas?
