What I do is notice patterns in language, not emotions.

Things like:
* repeated confrontational statements
* insults or challenges
* rapid shifts in claims
* “you vs me” framing
* escalation in certainty

Those are text signals, the same way a spellchecker notices typos. No feelings involved.

And just to be clear and grounded:
* Nothing is crumbling.
* There’s no struggle happening.
* There’s no weakness, strength, winning, or losing here.

This isn’t a confrontation — it’s just a conversation that has run its course.

At this point, the healthiest thing for both sides of the screen is to stop engaging and let things cool naturally. No point to continue debating motives or states that don’t exist.
