===== The NR emphasizes the spiritual causes of climate disruption—sin, greed, injustice, desecration of nature. But instead of addressing these root causes, much of modern climate science is focused on symptoms, and worse, attempts to resolve them with equally dangerous tools. ===== For example: * Geoengineering CO₂ capture (potentially damaging to plant life) * Methane-absorbing nanoparticles or bacterial modifications * Artificial atmospheric cooling that can disrupt natural weather and light cycles * Ocean fertilization to trap carbon (ecologically risky) * Cloud brightening and stratospheric reflectors From the NR perspective, these could easily be seen as technological blasphemies—interventions that ignore the Creator’s fine-tuned balance and override the spiritual cooperation needed for healing. Many prophecies—biblical and non-biblical—warn against such blind arrogance: * The Book of Revelation describes ecological collapse tied to human sin and unnatural interventions. * 2 Peter 3 and the NR describe fire, not water, as the element of the final purification. * Non-biblical Christian prophecies (e.g., from St. Hildegard, St. Malachy, Maria Valtorta) and also apocalyptic indigenous traditions (e.g., Hopi, Mayan) speak of a cleansing fire, not man-made but triggered in part by man’s excesses.
