It relies on: * Imports OR * Warehouses (not log yards) So even though forestry works now, generic industry can still starve. ==== β FIXES (do these in order) ==== ===== 1οΈβ£ Generic industry needs WAREHOUSES (not log yards) ===== Log yards only serve Industries DLC buildings. Generic industry needs: * Warehouse β Zoned for Raw Forest Products (or Generic Goods) ===== β Do this ===== * Place 1β2 Small Warehouses * Set to BALANCED * Place them between cargo terminal/highway and generic industry β± Wait 1β2 in-game weeks. ===== 2οΈβ£ Temporarily boost imports ===== After a reset, imports lag behind demand. ===== β Quick stabilizer ===== * Add one temporary cargo train terminal OR * Direct highway ramp near generic industry You can remove it later once supply stabilizes. ===== 3οΈβ£ Check district policies (VERY important) ===== If your generic industry district has: * Industry 4.0 β β breaks raw-material demand logic * No Heavy Traffic β β blocks imports * Old Town β β blocks trucks ===== β Fix ===== Turn ALL district policies OFF for industry districts. ===== 4οΈβ£ Donβt overzone generic industry ===== After a reset, demand spikes but supply lags. ===== β Rule ===== * Let existing generic industry fill storage first * Do NOT zone more for 2β3 in-game weeks ===== 5οΈβ£ This will self-fix (if you wait) ===== This specific problem often resolves on its own once: * Warehouses fill * Import routes stabilize * Traffic recalculates β± Usually 2β4 in-game weeks. ==== π§ How to know itβs fixed ==== Click a generic factory: * If storage % starts rising β β working * If trucks say βImportingβ β β correct * If exporting while starved β β warehouse missing ==== β Ideal long-term setup ==== <syntaxhighlight>Forestry DLC Area β (Separate) Warehouse (Raw Forest Products / Goods) β Generic Industry β Commercial </syntaxhighlight> ===== π― One last check ===== Tell me: 1οΈβ£ Do you have any warehouses near generic industry? 2οΈβ£ Are generic industry trucks importing or idle?
