I wasn’t able to find a reliable, publicly accessible source that actually states the real dedication for John Scalzi’s ''The Consuming Fire''.

What I can say with confidence (because Scalzi himself says it) is that it’s not dedicated to:

Scalzi also notes that you can find the dedication by using Amazon’s “search inside the book” excerpt, but Amazon pages were returning errors in my environment so I couldn’t verify it directly.
