===== ❓ Is it worse than “industry standard”? ===== Short answer: yes — there appears to be a higher frequency and severity of reported issues compared to more established EV/automaker platforms, especially given that VF7 is a relatively new model from a young automaker in export markets. Here are some factors and comparisons: * Established automakers (eg. Tesla, VW, Hyundai/Kia, etc) inevitably have glitches, recalls, and software bugs — but their occurrence rate, severity, and responsiveness tend to be lower/more mature. * For VinFast/VF7: The volume of user complaints (software & structural), combined with external investigations (e.g., NHTSA probe) suggest that the quality-control / validation processes may still be maturing. * Because VF7 has only recently entered many markets, early-production units often show “teething problems” — software stability, hardware robustness, etc. * In several user reviews it’s noted: “performance good, but interior, reliability, electronics need improvement.” CarDekho<ref>{{cite web|title=CarDekho|url=https://www.cardekho.com/vinfast/vf7/user-reviews|publisher=cardekho.com|access-date=2025-11-17}}</ref> Thus, relative to industry standard for a mid-size EV from a major brand, VF7 appears to have higher risk of glitches, especially in early units. That doesn’t mean all units will suffer, but the probability is elevated.
