Chaque pays dispose donc de ses propres rĂšgles en matiĂšre de bien-ĂȘtre animal, trĂšs variables : * certains pays ont des normes proches ou parfois plus strictes (ex. : Nouvelle-ZĂ©lande, Suisse bien que hors UE), * dâautres ont des lĂ©gislations minimales ou peu appliquĂ©es, * certains autorisent systĂ©matiquement des pratiques interdites dans lâUE (abattage sans Ă©tourdissement dans certains contextes, moindre contrĂŽle vĂ©tĂ©rinaire, Ă©quipements plus rudimentaires, etc.). Fait Ă©tabli : il nâexiste pas de standard international obligatoire Ă©quivalent Ă la rĂ©glementation europĂ©enne. Opinion solide et justifiĂ©e : lâharmonisation est faible parce que les rĂšgles dâabattage ont un coĂ»t (formation, matĂ©riel dâĂ©tourdissement, infrastructures), que tous les pays ne sont pas prĂȘts Ă supporter.
