=== Assistant: lmao yeah, he’s basically a biological “you looked at me wrong” homing missile with no off-switch. === lmao yeah, he’s basically a biological “you looked at me wrong” homing missile with no off-switch. Using him for energy, though? That’s where things get fun, cursed, and Foundation-engineer stupid. Here’s the breakdown of what’s actually possible within SCP-logic: ==== He does output insane kinetic energy when sprinting. ==== But: * He only runs when triggered * The target must exist * And he doesn’t stop until the target is dead So you’d get one huge burst of power, then the machine shuts off forever. That’s not a generator — that’s an overclocked murder battery with a single-use fuse. ==== Some madman might try: ==== # Show 096’s face to Target A # Capture 096 after it finishes # Show its face to Target B # Repeat This technically gives you periodic “096 acceleration bursts” you can harvest with kinetic turbines or shock-absorbing floors. But you’re basically running a power plant that requires a new corpse every cycle. Ethically and logistically: atrocious. And the Foundation ethics committee would have a group aneurysm. ==== Think: ==== * shock-mounted treadmills * maglev capture rails * inertial dampening chambers * momentum-harvesting sleds It’s theoretically possible to catch some energy from the transit run. But here’s the problem: 096 doesn’t generate consistent, predictable force. He beelines through anything that obstructs him, so you can’t route him like a pipeline. He goes skrrt through your infrastructure and your infrastructure dies. ==== Now here’s where things get interesting. ==== When he slams into a target, you get: * enormous kinetic shock * momentary localized heat * biological destruction * spatial disruption (in some canons) If you could convert the shockwave into usable energy, you’d have something like: * piezoelectric walls * kinetic dampeners * seismic capture plates * experimental thaumaturgic siphons But the problem remains: You get one burst per activation, then a whole lot of cleanup. It’s not worth the cost unless you’re powering a city with a war crime. ==== This is the one area where 096 actually edges into sci-fi energy territory: ==== 096’s ability to: * locate a target anywhere * ignore intervening matter * distort space * accelerate infinitely without fatigue * perform impossible navigation suggests some kind of spatial topology exploitation, possibly tapping into: * extradimensional pathways * compression of space * localized curvature shifts * antimemetic tracking behaving like a quantum lock If you could isolate that mechanism, instead of the running or the violence, you might extract: * Zero-point style energy * Spatial stress energy * Exotic particles leaking from the “path” he follows * Resonance from the pursuit lock itself But you'd need to open him up or scan him in a way that does not involve looking at his face and does not break his anomaly. This is why it’s basically impossible. ==== If you consider "energy" in the thermodynamic sense, then yes: ==== * Destroyed walls * Collapsing buildings * Heat from friction * Movement of mass * Shockwaves …all technically represent energy release. Which means 096 is just an extremely stupid, extremely dangerous indirect energy source. Like burning down a city to warm your hands. ==== - Directly? No. He’s not a stable or ethical energy source. ==== * Indirectly? You can siphon energy from his movement or impacts but it’s inconsistent, destructive, and stupidly dangerous. * Exotically? His reality-breaking “tracking” ability may involve energy the Foundation could study, but extracting it without dying is basically impossible. If you want, I can sketch out a theoretical 096-based power plant — including its architecture, safeguards, and why every version of it is an OSHA nightmare.
