Ingredients: - 2 cups of all-purpose flour - 1 tablespoon of baking powder - 1 teaspoon of salt - 1 tablespoon of curry powder - 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper - 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, chilled and cubed - 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup of milk Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, curry powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined. 3. Add the chilled and cubed butter to the dry ingredients, and using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. 4. Add the grated cheddar cheese to the bowl, and mix it in until it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. 5. Pour in the milk and mix everything together until a dough forms. Don't overwork the dough, as this can make the biscuits tough. 6. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thickness. Cut out biscuits using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass. 7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. 8. Let the biscuits cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. 9. Serve the savoury curried biscuits warm or at room temperature, either on their own or as a side dish to your favourite curry. Enjoy!
