To appear offline on WhatsApp, you can follow these steps: 1. Open WhatsApp on your device. 2. Tap on the three dots icon in the top right corner of the screen. 3. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu. 4. Tap on "Account." 5. Tap on "Privacy." 6. Scroll down to the "Last Seen" section and tap on it. 7. Select "Nobody" to prevent others from seeing when you were last active on WhatsApp. Once you have turned off your "Last Seen" status, your contacts will not be able to see your online status or the last time you were active on WhatsApp. However, you will also not be able to see their "Last Seen" status. Note that even if you appear offline, you will still receive messages from your contacts. If you want to avoid getting messages altogether, you can also turn off your internet connection or put your phone on airplane mode.
