Bactroban is an antibiotic ointment used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo. Here are the steps to apply Bactroban: 1. Wash your hands with soap and water. 2. Clean the affected area with mild soap and water, and pat it dry with a clean towel. 3. Take a small amount of Bactroban ointment on a clean cotton swab or your fingertip. 4. Gently apply the ointment to the affected area in a thin layer. 5. Rub the ointment into the skin until it disappears. 6. Wash your hands again with soap and water after applying the ointment. It is recommended to apply Bactroban two to three times a day or as directed by your healthcare provider. Make sure to continue the treatment for the full course, even if your symptoms improve after a few days. If your symptoms do not improve or worsen after a few days of treatment, consult your healthcare provider.
