Editing How to Adjust Columns in InDesign



To adjust columns in InDesign, follow these steps:

1. Open your InDesign document and select the text frame that you want to adjust.

2. Go to the "Layout" menu and select "Margins and Columns."

3. In the "Margins and Columns" dialog box, you will see options to adjust the number of columns, gutter width, and column width.

4. To change the number of columns, select the desired number from the "Number" drop-down menu.

5. To adjust the gutter width, type in a new value in the "Gutter" field. The gutter is the space between the columns.

6. To adjust the column width, type in a new value in the "Width" field. You can also select a unit of measurement (such as inches or millimeters) from the drop-down menu.

7. Once you have made your adjustments, click "OK" to apply the changes.

Note: If you want to adjust columns for an entire document, you can do so by going to the "Layout" menu, selecting "Margins and Columns," and choosing "Document" from the "Apply to" drop-down menu.
