MSN Messenger, also known as Windows Live Messenger, is no longer available since 2013. However, if you are referring to adding an emoticon in a similar messaging application, here are the steps: 1. Open the messaging application and start a new conversation or open an existing one. 2. Locate the emoticon icon or the smiley face icon within the messaging app. It is usually located next to the text input field. 3. Click on the emoticon icon, and a list of available emoticons will appear. 4. Scroll through the list of emoticons and select the one you want to use by clicking on it. 5. The emoticon will appear in the conversation or in the text input field. You can add more emoticons by repeating the above steps. 6. Send your message, and the emoticon will be sent along with it. Note: The specific steps for adding an emoticon may vary depending on the messaging application you are using.
