While it may be embarrassing to accidentally pass gas in public, there are some ways to act like you didn't fart: 1. Stay calm and act normal: Don't draw attention to yourself by acting awkward or nervous. Just continue doing what you were doing before the incident. 2. Discreetly check for any odor: If you suspect that the fart was particularly smelly, try to discreetly check if anyone around you seems to be reacting to the smell. If there is no obvious reaction, then it's possible that no one noticed. 3. Try to subtly shift the blame: If you're in a group, you can try to subtly shift the blame onto someone else. For example, you can say something like, "What's that smell? Did someone step in something?" or "I think someone left something in their lunchbox." 4. Make a joke: If the fart was audible, you can try to make a joke to diffuse the situation. For example, you can say something like, "Oops, I guess I shouldn't have had that burrito for lunch!" This can help to lighten the mood and show that you're not taking yourself too seriously. 5. Apologize if necessary: If the fart was particularly loud or smelly and you're in a situation where an apology would be appropriate, you can apologize discreetly and move on. For example, you can say something like, "Sorry about that, I'm feeling a little gassy today."
